Bullet Point: Castle 707 Once Upon A Time in the West

WRITER: Terrence Paul Winter
DIRECTOR: Alrick Riley

Oops! A bit delayed. But here is my new bullet point. I'll put everything under the cut for possible spoilers (why haven't you watched it yet?!) or because of all the cuteness! ;)

  • Honeymoon episode. Yeah right! :D
  • Caskett announcing their marriage in front of Lanie, Espo, and Ryan is gold! Their faces are like "WHAT THE HELL?!"
  • Aw! Lanie!! She's such a forgiving friend. She's always looking out for Kate. The cute bump to Castle, though.
  • Mrs Castle and Mr Beckett! I don't think Castle looked upset. Just surprised. Well, Castle. I think you've been that way since Season 1.
  • Kate used up all her vacation days looking for Castle so the honeymoon to the exotic island will have to wait.
  • Ryan and Espo, we know you both are disappointed because you both want to be in tuxes.
  • Gates calling Castle, Kate's husband is a surprise especially after calling out that it's Castle's fault that she wasn't even invited in the champagne toast.
  • The title card gets a new look for this episode. If I'm not mistaken and if remember the post from Tumblr correctly, this is the eighth time that the title card had been replaced to get the episode feel.
  • WILD WEST! HORSES! HEAVEN! Or because I really want a horse.
  • Kate stepping on horse...manure: YUCK!
  • Newlyweds...so in love!
  • Upon seeing Kate in cowgirl costume - Castle: It's like three fantasies coming true:
  • Caskett's faces when they see Grady brandishing a Colt .45 and gunslinging is awesome!
  • Traditional carrying-the-bride-over-the-threshold! Unfortunately, upon seeing the room: so not their honeymoon. But you can see that Stana is a dancer the moment Nathan lets her go.
  • Tobias!! Can he come back?
  • Beckett has classes in hog tying and Castle has harmonica for beginners. Hahaha!!
  • Castle named the horses with the carriage he rented Ryan and Espo.
  • His and hers guns. Love it!
  • Aha gah hel'lah - a Yavapai word meaning stream or river, depending on the use. It's what their vic wants to learn when she went to the reservation.
  • Caskett, under the stars. ♥ Magical. (And two wonderful idiots so in love! Just look at their faces!)
  • And Caskett attempting to have sex under the stars is cute...except for the rattler.
  • Kate in a black cowgirl getup and a corset: dammit girl! I know why Castle can't speak!
  • Castle and Beckett looking for the gold and finding a skeleton instead. Whoever screamed (I can't figure out if it was Castle or Beckett) is cute!
  • Extreme close up of Nathan (♥ ♥ ♥) during the "duel". OMG! My heart!
  • Kate gunslinging is AWESOME!
  • Gates...no words can describe how much I love you in this episode! She understood why Caskett wanted to get married immediately and not telling their friends because it was spur of the moment. And her calling out to Ryan and Esposito bitching it for days is great.
  • Ryan and Espo gave Kate two of their vacation days, each, as their wedding gift. Caskett can spend four more days at the ranch.
  • The ending. ♥
Have I used enough hearts to express how I love this episode? :) The eyelet dress of Beckett is awesome! I love the eyelet design but they're pretty much expensive here and hard to find. Oh yeah...Stana's expressions in under 30 seconds (actually this is more like five seconds):

Queen of Facial Expressions!

Here are two sneak peeks for the next episode, 708 Kill Switch. It's an Esposito-heavy episode.

The second sneak peek, though! So many feels! It's a callback from 201 Deep in Death and was used during the show intros until the first half of Season 3.

Also, The Paley Centre for Media released the panel they did last year. It's available now for pre-order at Amazon.

In other Castle-related news:

Terri Edda Miller, the real-life inspiration behind the character of Kate Beckett, wrote several fantastic episodes, including 706 The Time of Our Lives where Rick and Kate finally got married. She is the heart and soul of the show, as the other writers say. In order to thank her for taking care of Caskett, the ‪#‎ThankYouTerri‬ campaign was started by some dedicated fans. This is also to honour the Castle writers for the amazing stories. I haven't been watching the show for long, just a year and a half but it already changed my life. I used to write ficlets of FRIENDS but stopped (I lost most of them and the only surviving ficlet is a Mondler one). My mum is a writer and I used to write for my high school paper. Watching the show and being in the fandom made me write fics again. For me, thanking Terri for everything is not enough. It's enough for now. :)

For this, you can help a young writer achieve his/her dream. Between 20 November and 8 December (the day Castle's winter finale will air), you can donate to the Young Storytellers Foundation using the #ThankYouTerri hashtag. It's a cause close to Terri. There is no obligation for you to donate to join the campaign, though. Just help spread the word, especially if you're a Castle fan. For more information, you can visit their Tumblr at #ThankYouTerri.
